"TULIPS"/ oil on canvas 6"X8"/original oil painting
Note: The watermark does not appear on the original painting
My daughter received this beautiful bouquet of tulips and I couldn't resist. The liveliness of the bouquet, the soft shadows, and the tall stems inspired me. I struggled a bit, but quickly figured out that I needed to break up the stiff stems with color variations to avoid redundancy. Depth was implied by the broken, faded colors on the rear flowers; the foreground being more defined. Spring has sprung!
