Caricature on a Cake

Caricature on a Cake-Retirement Caricature

Clients will often add their caricatures to a sheet cake for a special occasion.
This client was thoughtful to send this photo in to me.
Thanks Krista and Congrats to Pat!

Marry Me? Caricature of Bride-to-Be and Groom in St Louis

Another emergency caricature illustration (I need to start wearing a pager).
This one, a wedding proposal in St Louis. What a privilege to be part of such a momentous occasion!
Here is what the groom-to-be said about the drawing:

"I absolutely love (the caricature)! Thanks so much for getting this done on short notice and doing such a fantastic job."

"Grocery Bag Dump"-Or "Why A Painter Needs to Draw"

From the Sketch Book ©eileenmccoy.com

Bid on Blog Paintings

Dumping the groceries on the kitchen table was never so much fun; the rhythm of this setup caught my eye and I ran for the sketchpad. The light and contrasting shapes made for an interesting study.  Yes, I did put away the pantry products when I was finished.

The past month, I have been framing and cataloging over 100 paintings in preparation for the solo show in December. I make it a point, however, to take a break each day and sketch; to study and plan for the next paintings.
STAY TUNED..

 Enjoy, Eileen

Courtroom Drawings- Hereford House Arson Trial, Kansas City, Missouri

Drawing in public requires quick observation and speed. When drawing in a courtroom setting, an artist typically cannot move around (thereby disrupting the court) and must respectfully adapt to the situation by creating time-lapse vignettes of the room's activities. It is a fascinating series of observations.

WEDDING RECEPTION CARICATURES IN KANSAS CITY

Professional photographers, Jenny and Josh Solar at Solar Photography shared
this photos of me drawing, first some guests, then the bride and groom at this fall outdoor wedding reception in Kansas City.

I'm still here, dear followers. I've been traveling to and from events, giving speeches,  working on exhibits and some larger paintings and painting at workshops.
The daily paintings shall soon return!
   Enjoy, Eileen
