The caricature of the bearded fellow at the top was drawn completely with a black TOMBOW BRUSH MARKER.(http://tombowusa.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=Dual+brush+pen)
I really liked the boldness of the line and the overall result.
After over 35 years, change is hard and will take some time to get accustomed to the difference in the flexiblity of the brush tip, especially as compared to the now defunct staedtler pens.
The second drawing used a combination of a prismacolor marker and the TOMBOW. The former will require thicker card stock due to the bleed factor.
TOMBOW did not bleed and also comes in rich beautiful bold colors. ( I look forward to trying them on colored caricatures.) the point has, thus far, not frayed (as do the points of the PITT PENS.)
I do like the bullet nibs on both pens for indicating some finer details- but this does add a few seconds to the drawing time in order to change points.
I'll be trying out some copic markers next, and experimenting with blending techniques... Stay tuned.
