COPIC MARKERS ON CARD STOCK FOR CONVENTION CARICATURES

I'm still trying to find the ideal markers since my favorites were taken off the market.  Changing markers, meant switching up paper as well. A smooth finish card stock doesn't soak up as much ink and, therefore, the ink lasts longer before a refill is needed.
These caricature drawings are done with Copic markers on a smooth finish, heavy weight card stock for color copies.

I may run out of ink... But I never run out of subjects....here's more happy faces from this week's convention.

Plein Aire Painting, "Pin Oak Tree, near Bennett Park"

This plein aire painting features a beautiful pin oak tree that I see along my walks.
I wanted to capture the way the shadows danced warmly on the structure then turned outward onto the grass.  I also liked the sky spaces peering through the lovely tree canopy.

Couple's caricatures

This local couple stopped by the studio for a private sitting of a color caricature illustration. I also draw these from photos.
They plan to reproduce these for gifts.
